GTA 6: 8 Rumours We Hope AREN'T True
2. Online Only
Grand Theft Auto Online has proven a huge money-spinner for Rockstar Games and it continues to attract record numbers almost five years on from its initial release. It has proven so successful, in fact, that there's now an ugly rumour doing the rounds about GTA 6 completely foregoing a single-player campaign.
It's unclear where these dubious reports originated from, but that hasn't stopped users on numerous online forums from discussing them at length. Needleless to say, the notion of an online-only version of GTA hasn't gone down too well.
This rumour might fill you with dread, but the chances are that Rockstar thinks it's as ridiculous as you do. The stories from Liberty City, Vice City and Los Santos are the lifeblood of GTA, along with jacking cars and going on random killing sprees for fun.
Why would the studio throw out such a major part of the game in favour of an online-only experience when they already have GTA Online? The multiplayer portion of GTA 5 can always be carried over to the sequel with a raft of improvements in place.
