GTA 6: 9 Things It Must Learn From GTA V

4. Keep Player Customisation Plentiful

Player customisation in an open-world game is always a must-have, and GTA V had plenty of it. From the car mods to the plethora of clothing options, there's no denying the wealth of potential outfits that Rockstar allowed players to define the wardrobe of each individual protagonist.

The rule of customisation has always been to just keep adding more and more ways to make players feel their version of the character is unique. When it comes to players designing something for themselves, they never appreciate feeling limited by what's available.

As long as Rockstar continues the trend of adding absurd levels of customisation to every optional aspect of the game without going overboard or making it a mandatory component (looking at you, Fallout 4 base building), the system will only continue to improve. Crime has no officially-designated outfits, so it should always be left up to the player to pick the outfits themselves.
