GTA 6: 9 Things It Must Learn From GTA V
3. Give Players A Reason To Explore The World
Unfortunately, outside of some great easter eggs and potential heist members, GTA V didn't provide enough reason to fully investigate every corner of the cities and wilderness.
Due to the size of the map being extended to such great lengths compared to previous instalments, there were far too many long stretches of nothing during long drives.
It's understandable that Rockstar were limited on how may random events and activities they could fit in these long stretches of land to keep players entertained, but the game suffered from a severe lack of life outside the cities. With GTA VI, Rockstar can ensure that each area of the map is utilized properly.
Every part of the map can have events to discover and collectibles/easter eggs to find. No area should feel like it was forgotten, especially when the map size begins to feel overblown and excessive.
