GTA 6: THIS Is The Perfect Setting

But Vice City Isn't Enough...

10 Psychotic Video Game Heroes Who Really Should Creep Us Out

That said though, after such a long wait between sequels, and an expected long wait between GTA VI and GTA VII, a new and improved, contemporary Vice City, while great, wouldn't be enough. It would need to be part of something bigger.

Though rumours can't be believed, one prominent "leak" that was doing the rounds years ago suggested that Rockstar had huge ambitions when it came to developing the map for GTA VI. The idea being floated was that they weren't just going to give players a single city, but a bunch of different ones that were interconnected, making for the most diverse map yet.

While that might not be true though, it's not a bad idea. Over the past generation, we've seen a whole bunch of open world games try to ape Rockstar's once unique design ethos. Titles like Just Cause now pride themselves on having the biggest sandboxes on the market (even though there's not much to do in them), while worlds from Sony or CD Projekt Red rival Rockstar in terms of detail and realism.

Consequently, after so many years on the bench and with everyone else playing catch up, Rockstar need to give us something we haven't seen before. To prove why GTA continues to be an industry leader when it comes to how open world experiences are constructed.

Nothing screams that more than having a bunch of different cities - each as lifelike and detailed as the rest - interconnected in one massive title.

Even better, they could use this idea as a platform to create the ultimate Grand Theft Auto experience, and something that could act as the foundation to support a ten-year game...
