9. Grand Theft Auto: London, 1969
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KVZEJUqCYY While London, 1969 is not technically a full-on instalment of the franchise, it has an absolutely excellent soundtrack that is worth mentioning. As it takes place in London during 1969, hence the title, it allowed Rockstar to create a musical compilation that was so appropriate for the time period they were playing with. It's a funky, groovy bunch of tracks that can bring you rocking straight back into the swinging sixties. The whole game has a rocking bit of London going on, with the characters speaking in trademark cockney accents and use an extra bit of British slang to hammer everything home. Rockstar created a world that relied on a lot of well-known British concepts and thematic ideas, with the soundtrack playing a pivotal part to make it all seem legit. With the possible exception of 2002's The Getaway, very few games are able to make you completely believe that you're roaming around jolly old England, but the soundtrack of this particular GTA will certainly help you out.
