GTA Trilogy Remake - Every Gameplay Detail You Need To Know
6. Grand Theft Auto V-Style Controls
The controls for GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas aren't too difficult to come to terms with, but after you've played GTA V for just over eight years, it'll take some readjusting to get yourself back in that mindset.
That's most likely Rockstar's reasoning for changing their controls in this remaster, opting to utilise a more GTA V-style control system.
Their official comment on the change notes that the controls for both the gunplay and targeting have been updated, ideally meaning a new aiming system to make it that bit easier for obtaining headshots and the like.
Additionally, San Andreas' drive-by controls have also been updated, which will come as delightful news to those struggling to nail the perfect police chase.
It's an intriguing decision, though. A few of the basic controls remain the same across all four games anyway (using PlayStation copies as an example, triangle is used to enter and exit vehicles in all of these games), so this feels more like a change to keep everything in line with their more recent products than anything else.
Still, it'll give these games that fresh, modernised feeling.
