7. Chainsaw
One of my favourite weapons in the Grand Theft Auto franchise is without question the chainsaw; it first appeared in Vice City, and aside from directly referencing Scarface (even more than the game already was), it allowed you wreak utterly loony havoc on the city around you. The weapon re-appeared in San Andreas, though was curiously absent from GTA IV, seemingly as part of Rockstar's mission statement to tone down the game's silliness and opt for a more "gritty" approach (though there is a PC mod that restores it). Though we've not had any confirmation of a chainsaw being present in GTA V, we can only cross our fingers that, with the game's clear return to the lighter, less-serious tone of the earlier games, it will once again allow us to cut through enemies like a blunt knife through warm butter.
