4. Side Missions With More Impact
Many thought that GTA IV was pretty drab in its presentation by comparison to the previous titles. And although I did love the game myself, I'm not going to argue against those who say it was, more so than any of its predecessors, pretty linear. You'd either hack away at the main campaign
or, if you got bored of that, side-mission wise you could either drive taxis, run drugs, accept assassination contracts...or...you could...zzzzz. I'm being too harsh. These side missions were fun enough in their own right, but they never really had any palpable effect on...well, on anything. They were just there for you to do should you decide to but if you chose not to, you literally weren't missing out on anything. Many are hoping that in GTA V these side missions will have more of an effect on the gameplay itself and in turn more of an incentive to complete them; for example, if you clear the taxi missions, you'd then get access to a unique story arc, perhaps where you're hired by the owner of a small taxi firm to help sabotage his big-time rival. Now there's been literally no indication that anything of the sort will feature in GTA V (remember I mentioned wishful thinking earlier) however this one is something people
really seem to want to see. And if I'm honest, I'm one of them.
