GTA V: 10 Must-Buy Games That Could Eclipse Rockstar's Success

9. Lego Marvel Superheroes

The strongest hallmark of the Lego based games-Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Batman etc.-has always been the deadpan humour behind it, where they aren't afraid to gently mock the source material in a subversive way but in such a straight-laced manner that you can't help but fall in love with it. The Marvel incarnation is no different, and carries the winningly silly feel of the recent Avengers movie therein. While the game has a fleshed-out Marvel universe strong enough to keep obsessives from picking fault, and a wonderfully strong score and cast of voice talent, the key to these type of games has always been the fun factor, and LMS has it in spades. As scintillating as it was to gawp at the devastation of New York in Avengers Assemble, it is arguably more incredible to see the LEGO bricks of the city flying about here. While it can sometimes lean towards the simplistic-each character only has a few special moves and can feel limited because of this- the sheer joy of the game means that you could well be playing it long after GTA V has been consigned to the 'Happy Memories' bin. If it isn't already in your collection, rush out and get it.

I was raised by wolves in the woodlands of Northumberland, but am still posher than Colin Firth having dinner with The Queen. I write all of my pieces by swallowing a cocktail of scrabble tiles and vodka, then regurgitating them over my jotter. Hope this explains the typos.
