GTA V: 10 Reasons Why It Might Not Be Awesome

2. Too Big A Game Map

Map

When it was first announced that GTA IV's map was going to be smaller than the one in San Andreas, fans were a little put out. Then the game arrived and all those complaints went out the helicopter and spun uncontrollably toward the ground. Not only was Liberty City a gigantic city that continued to provide new locations throughout the game's run time, but it felt so alive that any size issues didn't matter.

GTA V is bigger. Much bigger. The game map has been confirmed larger than Rockstar's previous three open world games (GTA IV, Red Dead Redemption and San Andreas) combined.

Now I'm sure there€™s plenty to do, but if that plenty is the recreation mini games mentioned previously, it€™s not really enough to flesh out the game.

There€™s hopefully going to be a lot of focus placed on flying in the game, which would not only justify the map size, but make up for their very noticeable lack in Liberty City. However, even then it could quite easily suck the fun out of driving, where the game€™s initial success lies. This issue is made all the worse given that the whole map will be available from the very start, allowing for little gradual explorations.
