4. New Combat Mechanics

Right after the GTA V logo reveal but before its trailer, a writer on StickTwiddlers.com claimed to have questioned an industry professional who had been working on the cancelled Sony shooter Eight Days; a game famed during its development for its incredibly cinematic character animation. Supposedly, this professional revealed that upon Eight Days€™ cancellation, the game€™s animator was drafted to work on GTA V with R*. Apparently StickTwiddlers the researched Jim Jagger, the animator in question whose site confirmed that he is indeed currently in employment at R* North Check out some leaked footage of Eight Days in action: http://youtu.be/r7KiyAl1vFY This leads to the rumours that GTA V will include a vastly updated combat system, and potentially more (you saw the truck destroying the gas station right, tell me GTA V wouldn€™t benefit from that!) Whether R* are planning to directly pinch elements from Eight Days is unknowable at this stage, but with its unfortunate cancellation, I€™m sincerely hoping that they do.
