GTA V: 5 Reasons Why It's Make Or Break

4. GTA IV

The ultimate marmite game, GTA IV split opinion amongst gamers like no other game in the series, and left many, including myself, annoyed and frustrated with the final product. Although I am able to acknowledge the positive aspects of the 2008 title, the series seemed to go against the old principle of €˜if it ain€™t broke don€™t fix it€™ and lose its GTA-esque feel. Now, with that as a predecessor, GTA V has the task of winning over those that were disillusioned five years ago, and get back to the winning formula that made the series so popular in the first place. However, much like GTA III, the 2008 instalment was the first on a new console platform, and may provide a similar springboard to the one that was created for San Andreas and Vice City back in the early years of the new millennium. Make or Break: GTA IV split opinion, but number V, on very little evidence seems to have returned to a more traditional formula, and with history suggesting that GTA IV should provide a springboard; I€™m tipping this latest title to right the wrongs of 2008 and be a much more enjoyable experience.
