GTA V: 5 Reasons Why It's Make Or Break

1. Modern Day Setting

A bit of a strange one you might think, but hear me out. In my humble opinion, the two best GTA games were San Andreas and Vice City, set in 1992 and 1986 respectively, a simpler time before technology became essential in our lives. Aside from this, the past setting provided an opportunity for many nostalgic moments with an abundance of pop culture references that were relevant to their respective time. Realising that I€™m beginning to sound a lot older than my 19 years, I will now look at the positives. The modern day setting provides an opportunity for technology to be integral in the game, and if done properly, it could be a lot better than the annoying mobile phone mechanic introduced in GTA IV, and provide a welcome addition to gameplay. Make or Break: It might not seem like a big deal, but the past-based settings of previous titles have provided a satirical look at historical pop culture, and kept the technology simple. Whilst this worked in the past, due to technological advancements and the fact that gaming has come a long way since those days, I am confident that GTA V can fully embrace the modern day setting. So there are my 5 reasons, have I missed anything? Please feel free to comment
