4. There Will Be Way Interaction With Interiors
One of the few complaints you hear about GTA V was that it didn't contain enough interior environments. Yes, there were more of them than ever before, with plenty of banks, airport buildings and the occasional bar or strip club, but one of the biggest (and most reasonable) expectations of GTA VI is that there will be more things to do within each one. There should be more restaurants, bars and shops in the next GTA, and they should all be interactive to rob and steal from. San Andreas-style gyms to exercise your character via mini-games should return, and casinos and malls should be opened up; if you could seamlessly run into and out of these sprawling buildings, it would make police chases far more interesting, as you'd have to navigate your way through crowds, seeking out backrooms to hide in and windows to escape through. GTA V did a great job of creating some interior spaces that didn't have any direct purpose, but helped build up the sense of Los Santos as a living, breathing place. A couple of these that really made an impression on me were that rundown motel with the homeless living inside it, or that random little hallway with the small window that made an incredible place for a police standoff. Those were great interiors that added an extra dimension to the gameplay, which we're likely to see far more of in GTA VI.
