Without doubt, the most talk surrounding GTA VI seems to revolve around exactly which location Rockstar will choose to host the game. Obviously, fans of the franchise see this as one of the most important decisions, because it can have an impact on what kind of atmosphere the game takes on. Intriguingly, there's been talk that the developer will actually look to have VI take place in a real-life city, rather than a fictional one. Traditionally, Grand Theft Auto has taken place in locales designed to parody major, real-life cities, but it seems that Rockstar may look to buck their own trend, which could prove to be an interesting choice. The likes of Liberty City, Vice City and San Andreas all have their own charms, but just what would the advent of a real, true to life city have on GTA VI? One of the major destinations rumoured is Portland, Oregon, which is certainly a pretty random choice. Far from the glamour of previous places in GTA, such as New York (Liberty City) and Miami (Vice City), Portland has a population of approximately half a million, which is a lot smaller than the 8 million on offer in New York City alone. Would the game therefore be a tighter, more restricting affair? That seems unlikely, but it'd be interesting to see what the developers would do with a smaller area.
