Halo 4: Where it Will Succeed and Where It Will Fail

1. New Weapons & Equipment

In addition to rebalancing some old Halo favourites like the magnum, Battle Rifle and DMR, Halo 4 introduces some new gear. The new Promethean weapons like amazing, assembling in your hands as you pick them up. Really cool. There are lots of new Armor Abilities as well. The new Promethean vision is cross between ODST's VISR and Blacklight: Retributions wall hack mode. The new Autosentry is a deployable turret that automatically shoots enemies. The new Regeneration field is mix between the Drop Shield and the Regenerator, both pieces of equipment from Halo 3. Similarly, the new Hardlight Shield allows you to bring up a Jackal-like shield, at the expense of mobility and attack power. My personal favourite is the new Thruster Pack, which is like a horizontal jet pack that sends you flying forward for "aggressive movement." I, as well as millions of other gamers out there, love playing around with new stuff. There's nothing better than just picking up a massive new gun and going "Yes. This is the gun for me." The new armor abilities will also make for an interesting twist for gameplay, as players can now create custom classes, like in Call of Duty. Hopefully it brings more tactics into each fight. Now, onto the bad....

I live in Australia, love to write and play games. So what better than writing about games? I love all things action and fantasy, as well as my occasional shooter. I literally cannot wait for GTAV!
