Halo 5 Vs. Black Ops 3 Vs. Star Wars Battlefront: Which One Is Best?

9. Multiplayer: Maps

Halo 5: Yes, the maps are fun to play (especially Plaza), but they feel fairly samey and lacking in diversity. There's not a lot of imagination in the design, and it'll probably have you craving some of the classic maps from earlier games. Black Ops 3: A rock solid selection of maps this year, given a pleasant boost by the wall-running mechanics that allow enhanced verticality (though Treyarch could certainly have done more with this), and also the addition of some underwater combat possibilities. The best map by far is Combine, unless you count the pre-order exclusive Nuketown 2065, which is an absolute riot too. Battlefront: What maps are there look beautiful and are exceptionally well-designed, but there just isn't enough. There are 12 maps spread across the nine game modes, but modes such as Walker Assault and Supremacy desperately need more than four maps each, and given that the game only features four planets out of the box, things do end up feeling a bit similar after a while. If you want more, you'll have to stump up the cash for the DLC. WINNER: Black Ops 3's maps don't reinvent the wheel but they're by far the most consistent ones here, and the wall-running allows for some potentially insane movement combinations.
