6. Weapons

Halo 5: Weapons have always been a strong suit for the Halo series, with its eccentric and varied array of armaments. The Magnum is arguably over-powered with its awesome stopping power but it's great fun to use, while the new energy sword known as the Prophet's Bane is great for p***ing people off online. And that's without even mentioning the chaotic possibilities of vehicles... Black Ops 3: There's your usual array of weaponry here, but what takes BO3's loadout to the next level is the addition of Specialists, nine class types which each feature one special weapon and one special ability. The insanely powerful weapons include a grenade launcher known as the War Machine, an explosive bow and arrow known as the Tempest, and the possibly OP Gravity Spikes, which will launch the player forward at an enemy with tremendous force, killing anyone in the radius. Battlefront: The game features a dozen guns, though sadly there's not much variation between them (except the OP DL-44), and there aren't any customisation options to speak of. Disappointing. WINNER: Black Ops 3's Specialists are a major breath of fresh air, even if the core weapons are pretty much business as usual, but the fact you'll only use a Specialist weapon for a few seconds per round makes it hard to give them much weight. Halo, on the other hand, is as consistently excellent in this area as ever and the sure winner.
