Halo Infinite: 10 Promising Rumours You Must Hear
9. Cribbing From Destiny
Taking a cue from Bungie, original developers of the Halo series, 343 have all but confirmed that Halo Infinite will be a live-service game.
It has been confirmed that there will be new content added after launch, and developers have described Infinite as a starting point for the next ten years of Halo, wanting to stop the numbered entries and see Halo Infinite “grow over time”.
This doesn’t mean an end to the famed Halo campaigns, but a great way to keep us coming back after completing them. There’s little need to worry over the pitfalls of some live-service games, as 343 have said there will be “No loot boxes. No randomness in rewards"
343 have already demonstrated their willingness to take fan feedback on board after the shaky start to The Master Chief Collection, which turned out to be a thoroughly enjoyable experience with many fixes and updates added over the years.
So, a live-service Halo spanning years of additional content is something that fans can look forward to, loot box-free, for years to come.
