Halo Infinite: 10 Story Questions It Must Answer

If one person could take down Cortana, it would be the woman who created her. Halsey had a strong presence in Halo 5, appearing in multiple missions and capping the games story off. But so far, we've only had a hint at her whereabouts in the marketing for Infinite.

Eagles eyed fans noticed in the E3 trailer for Infinite that Halsey apparently modified Chief's armor in 2559, which is sometime after Halo 5's story came to a sudden end.

With the Created and Cortana not having not even been hinted at in Infinite's marketing material, one has to wonder if Halsey played a part in their downfall.

Since she created Cortana and is the UNSC's chief science adviser, the idea that she could have concocted a plan to take the Created down is not far fetched.

No matter the outcome of the war against the Created and whatever role Halsey played in it, an explanation as to her location is expected. With her modifying Chief's new armor, perhaps she had a hand in the creation of the new grapple shot.

As a key character in the Halo universe seeing her in Infinite is nothing but a good thing - even if she didn't help Halo 5.
