4. The New Lore Elements

Every time JK Rowling deems it necessary to tell us how wizards poop or the length of every Death Eater's penis or something, eyes are rolled across the world. But the key thing to remember, even when people feign fury at such things, is that Harry Potter fans lap that sort of new information up like its Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans.

Speaking from personal experience, new Wizarding World lore is a great thing. It's why there remains so much goodwill towards the Fantastic Beasts franchise and Pottermore despite them being far from flawless. It's also why The Cursed Child continues to sell tickets the way it does.

So to have new things (not least Confoundables and Foundables) and new characters introduced to a world so well lived in is a huge selling point. Plus, the likelihood of more lore expansions through narrative changes, bolt-ons and events is even more exciting.
