Hitman 1 & 2: 10 Best Levels So Far
6. The Golden Handshake (New York)
the first of the two Hitman 2 DLC levels did not disappoint. While not as expansive as other levels the bank still manages to impress, with the vault down below and Athena Savalas' office overlooking the atrium. 47 is here to do business.
This feels like a level straight out of Blood Money or Contracts. With one target to focus your attention on, this one is a blast to play through and explore. You can infiltrate through the basement dressed as a bank robber, or set up a private meeting with a clerk using 47's totally inconspicuous alias 'Tobias Rieper'. Prefer a more direct approach perhaps? There's a job interview with a nervous applicant all alone in the bathroom, if you take his place in the interview you'll be chuckling at the interviewer's reactions to 47's unconventional answers. The NPCs feel more real in A Golden handshake and you'll find yourself stopping what you're doing and just getting lost in the stories unfolding around you.
With only one target A Golden handshake lacks methods of assassination, the most notable, pushing Athena through her clock window in her office, which isn't overly unique for Hitman. The target is uninspired and lacks personality while the rewards for completing challenges are underwhelming.
