Horizon Zero Dawn: 10 Things The Sequel Must Have

6. A Pet Companion

Wouldn't it be awesome for Aloy to have a persistent companion throughout the game that could help her during missions, rather than having to tame random machines every so often, with there being little emotional bond between Aloy and these creatures?

Having a machine pet that the player gets attached to over the course of the game would expand both the potential of the gameplay and the series' overarching themes.

Having a pet for constant transport and combat assistance, which has its own skill tree alongside yours, would be a great way to build on what the first game offered up.

And if the idea of a machine companion with its own personality feels a little too cliched, what about an actual pet animal instead? Can you imagine how awesome it'd be to see a huge lion ripping apart a Broadhead?
