How Capcom Should Remake Resident Evil 4

2. Ada Wong's Separate Ways

On the topic of swapping characters, Capcom could include playable Ada sections in the remake. The Separate Ways mini-game featured in every post-GameCube release gave the character a handful of missions that intersected with the main story, and the developer might be inclined to reinvent these to better align with the core experience, adding something unexpected for returning fans.

Resi 4 doesn't need these extra missions - and some may need to be shaken up considerably as there's a lot of retreading beats from the OG story - but the cutscenes with Wesker admittedly do a great deal to connect what's otherwise a very different RE game back to the original story.

With the fanbase already established, there's no reason why these sequences shouldn't be included as part of the main experience.
