Injustice 2 Vs. Tekken 7 - Which Game Is Better?

4. Graphical Quality & Presentation

Aesthetics ostensibly don't matter in a game where beating the tar out of each other is the main pursuit, but that said, Injustice's graphics, character models and overall depth of quality far exceeds Tekken. Being T7 was first conceptualised back in 2014 (with an arcade release a year later), there's a somewhat outdated look to everything from character models to the stages themselves.

Granted, we're talking 'outdated' in a time where even back in 2015, games still looked jaw-dropping, but it is a noticeable difference when put next to Injustice 2's staggeringly lifelike facial animations. Said faces contort, scream in pain or rage mid-fight, factor into the story mode and always give off a sense of life missing from Tekken's aesthetic - one that extends to the stages themselves.

It's a real step up, especially for a genre that you could argue doesn't need the attention.

It goes without saying, then, that Tekken is for the most part, more of the same. Arenas shatter nicely with floor and wall-destroying impacts, and there are certainly plenty of technicolour firework displays popping off whenever fists meet face, but it's just not enough to elevate the product entirely.

Winner: Injustice 2
