Injustice 2 Vs. Tekken 7 - Which Game Is Better?
3. Core Mechanics & Feel
You just can't argue with Tekken. Yes, the core feel of the franchise dates back over two decades, but what Namco got right, they really got right back in 1994, the resulting years being spent refining and perfecting those immortally strong foundations.
Playing Tekken 7 feels like putting on an old glove. It just fits, feels good, and immediately you're ready to go. Injustice 2 certainly pushes the genre forward and rolls together a great many gameplay features into one, but when there are still hitbox qualms and roster issues, Tekken is just as instantly playable and loveable now as it always has been.
Returning to those explosive flourishes signifying powerful attacks, Tekken 7 really makes you feel empowered at every turn. Whilst Injustice's Supermoves are gloriously fun, bone-crushing cutscenes, when you smash someone's face in with a perfectly-timed straight right in Tekken 7, the resultant burst of electric confetti and freeze-frame camerawork is an immediate celebration of your proficiency with the pad.
It feels incredible, and for everything else Injustice nails, it's yet to come close to the euphoria of a victory in Tekken.
Winner: Tekken 7
