Injustice 3: 10 Things We Want To See
6. More Obscure Characters On The Roster
With Injustice 2 it was clear NetherRealm were exploring with putting more obscure characters on the roster. When it was first announced, people did not expect the likes of Gorilla Grodd on the roster.
However, it has to be said that NetherRealm have relied on some of the more mainstream DC characters, and while this isn't strictly a bad thing, it did seem to hinder the roster of Injustice 2.
One only has to look at just how many Batman related characters take up roster slots in both games. Batman villain Bane even appears in both games, despite his base move-set being nearly identical between games. Contrast this to how many Flash or Aquaman villains appear in the game, they're totally outnumbered.
This is all disappointing considering much more obscure characters were considered for Injustice 2. Justin Murray, who did concept art for Injustice 2 revealed that many interesting characters were considered for the sequel. Just some of these characters include Blue Bird, Detective Chimp, and Krypto. NetherRealm doesn't have to stop there, deep cut characters like Nekron would be incredible for the roster.
For Injustice 3, lets see some of these obscure characters make the roster.
