Injustice 3: Things It Must Learn From Mortal Kombat 11

1. More Balanced Characters

Perhaps more important than introducing new characters, would be for NetherRealm to properly balance the ones currently on the roster. This is a problem in almost every fighting game, however it's particularly pertinent with Mortal Kombat 11 fresh in our minds.

Mortal Kombat 11 has had some serious issues in regards to balance. Of course, the majority of the roster feels great to play with, but then there's a handful who are completely overpowered, and a handful who are borderline useless.

For example, Erron Black is the best character in the game. His zoning is incredible, he's got big damage, high combos, and he's great at distance or close-up. Flip the script and you have D'Vorah; a horribly-designed character with poor combos, low damage, easily blocked, and her set-ups aren't worth the pay-off.

How could one character be virtually overpowered, and another be almost unusable?

NetherRealm needs to go back to the drawing board for its next-gen Injustice title, and ensure that we don't wind-up with a game where Batman is the baddest mofo on the planet, and Supergirl has the skills of Jimmy Olsen.

This is the key thing that NetherRealm needs to focus on because gameplay is king, and everything else is gory window-dressing.
