You'd think Nintendo would come up with a decent handheld game based on the movies, but, alas, this has never been the case. The rot started with Jurassic Park on the Gameboy in 1993 - a tired port of the Super Nintendo game - and, by the time The DNA Factor stomped onto the Advance in 2001, Nintendo's oeuvre of JP offerings were well and truly covered in fungus.

The game is a basic side scroller, made all the more complicated by the bods at Konami trying to build a game around the Advance's then quite impressive capabilities. This meant that our heroes - a marooned photographer and pilot - can not only move left and right, but also up, down and diagonal. It's freedom, sure, but you try icing a dino with this abundance of directional choice.

To further confuse matters, levels are interspersed with a DNA-influenced version of the classic Brick Break, just to add an extra level of prehistoric boredom to proceedings.
