1. Verdict
Heading into the Playstation 4 Im sure we all wanted to play a memorable launch title that immediately cemented a legacy in the vein of something as Earth-shattering as Super Mario 64, but realistically you have to keep your expectations in check. Shadow Fall goes above and beyond with treating eye-popping visuals that reassure our uneven mindset when adopting a console early. It also has some neat ideas for the Dualshock 4 and is a safe bet for multiplayer fun. The bread and butter of a Killzone game however, deceptively lies in telling a more dramatic story than usual for FPSs, and unfortunately Guerilla Games failed miserably with a laughing stock of a story and awful level gimmicks. Despite that, it has its moments of thrills with satisfying weapon-handling and dynamically-intelligent AI. And hey, if nothing else, it looks absolutely gorgeous and is a definitive purchase for those seeking to show off the insane graphical capabilities of the Playstation 4.
Killzone: Shadow Fall is available now in the US and launches alongside the Playstation 4 next week in the UK.
