Kingsglaive - Final Fantasy XV Review: 4 Ups & 6 Downs

4. Blatant Product Placement

Final Fantasy and real-world product placements don't mesh together well at all, as evidenced by the distracting abundance of them in Kingsglaive.

The most egregious bout of advertising comes with the presence of the Audi R8 as the heroes' transport of choice, while the likes of Beats, Japan Air Lines, Uniqlo, Volkswagen, and Samsung all get their prized screen time also.

Some might argue that it makes the world of Eos seem more realistic, but remember that this isn't Earth, only an "Earth-like" world, so it is incredibly bizarre whatever way you may want to justify it. It doesn't sink the film, but it does feel rather icky and immensely jarring given the fantastical setting.
