Knack Review: 6 Reasons You Shouldn't Pass It Up

3. It Showcases The PS4€™s Stunning Power

Knack 1 Graphically, we€™ve already touched upon that more often than not, playing Knack is like watching a Pixar film. The character models- from postures, facial structure and details, vibrant environments, and more- are all reflected with that style. Admittedly, the level of sheer detail isn€™t as complex as something like Toy Story 3, but for a video game these graphics are absolutely eye-popping. Furthermore, Knack€™s character model is constantly fluctuating in real time as you gain and lose relics, which is revolutionary. Amidst your King Kong power trip fantasies its hard not to take a moment and wrap your head around the technological spectacle of the Playstation 4 successfully simultaneously rendering 1000€™s of individual geometric shapes inside of Knack. Some of these relics even contain elemental properties such as ice or metal, and also impose new and interesting game mechanics. And even though the high fantasy artsyle for goblins and their natural habitat is as cliché as things come, there are numerous epic in scope environmental areas that really show off how crisp and clear volcanoes and ice caves can look. Don€™t let the kid friendly art direction deceive you into doubting that Knack is one of the most impressive looking next generation games.
