League of Legends North American LCS Summer Split Analysis: Week 1

T-7. Team Curse (1-4)

team-curse Team Curse struggled during Super Week, as changes to their lineup have certainly showed. As one of the older teams in the LCS, Team Curse made underwhelming performances, even during their lone victory over Velocty eSports. They lost four times this week to TSM Snapdragon, Team Vulcun, Counter Logic Gaming, and Cloud Nine. Their performance has been dull to say the least, but many fans are hoping they improve. Their lineup includes top lane Voyboy, Nyjacky in the mid lane, Saintvicious in the jungle, Cop at AD carry, and Edward at support. Voyboy had solid play in the top lane, including a 7/4/2 performance as Elise in a loss to Cloud Nine. Mid lane Nyjacky's performance has been solid, silent, not memorable, and almost ineffective. He never makes it past ten seconds in a team fight and has lost almost every mid lane he has played this week. Jungler Saintvicious played adequately but a majority of his performances yielded negative kill to death ratios. Cop's performances have also been adequate but not as good as most of the AD carrys in the tournament. Edward, a former European support, is looking to hit his stride with Cop. He made decent performances throughout the week, even forcing TSM Snapdragon to ban Sona, so he was not able to play it. This team needs to improve quickly in the next week or two to have a chance in this competition.
