League of Legends North American LCS Summer Split Analysis: Week 2

T-2. Team Vulcun (4-3)

team vulcun Team Vulcun went 1-1 in week two, continuing their consistent performances and maintaining their status as a tough team to outmatch. Their win came on day one versus a struggling Curse team, but on day two they, lost a well-fought match to Cloud Nine. It seems that the key to Team Vulcun's success is the success of mid lane player mandatorycloud. Zuna and BloodWater both improved, and BloodWater kept Team Vulcun in the game against Cloud Nine after stealing the Baron buff with a rank one tornado. Team Vulcun will move forward to week three with a four way tie for second, and I feel that Vulcun will continue their even success. Top lane player SychoSid performed consistently in both their win and their loss, as he went 5/1/6 on Kennen against Team Curse and 3/1/1 against Cloud Nine. Mid laner mandatorycloud continues to carry his team through the toughest of games, going 9/0/8 as Jayce against Team Curse and 6/4/3 as Twisted Fate against Cloud Nine. Although the lost the second game, mandatorycloud still performed extremely well, putting the team on his back as always. Jungler Xmithie continues to make average performances in the jungle, as he did in both games this week. AD carry Zuna improved steadily this week and did not get caught as much as last week. However, his Kog'Maw play (0/3/5) against Cloud Nine was below average, as he could not farm enough to make his champion a threat during late game. Support BloodWater made an impressive Baron steal, which was one of the highlights this week. However, his support play was still just solid and simple.
