League Of Legends North American LCS Summer Split Analysis: Week 3

T-6. Team Curse (4-6)

team-curse Team Curse never looked like a real contender until this week; the team went 2-1 against difficult opponents. They lost their first game to Velocity eSports in a "throw the game" type of scenario. However, they rebounded with a comeback victory over TSM Snapdragon and a complete shut down of Team Coast. Both as individual players and as a team, Curse is improving drastically, and other teams may have trouble keeping this Curse squad in check later in the tournament. Top lane player Voyboy played well as Shen (6/1/12) and Elise (6/0/2) against Velocity eSports and Team Coast respectively. His performances are always solid or better. Mid lane player Nyjacky made two quality performances as Jayce, but his Karthus play against Velocity eSports was not decisive. Nyjacky needs to learn to survive in team fights longer, and he may become more of a threat moving forward. Jungler Saintvicious may want to consider retiring soon. Although his performance as Nautilus against Team Coast was good, he does not have the reflexes to smite important objectives. As a jungler, he needs to be able to help his team win those objectives. AD carry Cop continues to shrug off his haters with amazing performances on Draven (11/1/5) and Vayne (8/4/6). Despite people claiming Cop is a bad AD carry, he continues to perform at a high level, and his kill to death ratio for the week was (21/5/15), one of the best in the LCS at any position. I cannot help but wonder why audiences do not like Cop. Support Edward made consistent performances as a support, and he helped Cop lane successfully.
