League Of Legends North American LCS Summer Split Analysis: Week 3

8. Velocity eSports (2-8)

Vel Esports Velocity eSports continues to struggle against stiff competition. Despite a victory over Team Curse on day 1, Velocity struggled against Team Coast and Team Dignitas. Although this team has great potential, they find themselves making the most mistakes against opponents (although TSM is giving them a run for their money). As stated on previous analyses, if Velocity wants to win more games, the mistakes must decrease. Top lane player Cris struggled not once, not twice, but three times as Kennen this week. He had double the deaths that he did kills, earning himself an abominable kill to death ratio of 10/20/22. Mid lane player Vileroze rose to the occasion against Team Curse, going 7/2/13 on Kayle. However, his second and third Kayle performances of the week were nowhere close to as helpful. Jungler NK Inc once again contributed to the death counter more than he did to kills. His jungling mechanics are there, but he is certainly a cut below most of the other junglers in the LCS. AD carry Maplestreet made plays on Twitch against Team Curse (11/1/7) and secured himself one of the better KDA ratios of the LCS this week (16/8/16). Sadly, Maplestreet is not the entire team and cannot carry games all by himself. Support Evaniskus is helpful at times but will make a blatant mistake in certain cases.
