Legend Of Zelda: 10 Best Characters Who Only Appear In One Game
5. The Champions - Breath Of The Wild
Yes, this entry does contain four characters as opposed to one. Is that cheating? Well, sort of, but picking just one of them is impossible, and they fit nicely together, thanks to their functions in the story. So, let's welcome Daruk, Urbosa, Revali and Mipha as one solid entry.
These characters act as representatives from their respective races, selected to aid in the battle against the deadly Calamity Ganon in Breath of the Wild. The player meets each of them through storyline flashbacks and by conquering the Divine Beasts. After freeing the spirit of each Champion, the player receives a power from them, which grants them a unique ability.
Daruk stood in for the Gorons and was a loud and welcoming warrior who forged a quick friendship with Link. Urbosa was an intimidating yet kind Gerudo soldier who displayed some maternal instincts towards Zedla. Revali swept in for the Rito and quickly grabbed your attention with his cocky and self-assured attitude, backed up by his impressive flying and archery skills. Finally, the meek yet courageous Mipha represented the Zora.
Technically, they do have more than one appearance but it's a massive case of the non-canon. 2020's hack-and-slash Age of Calamity has all four champions front and centre but since the Hyrule Warrior series is non-canonical, the actual history of these characters has never played out properly on-screen.
Each of the Four Champions strongly impacted the game, forging a collective group that massively aided in the quest.
