Legend Of Zelda - Ranking Every Link From Worst To Best
4. Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass & Spirit Tracks
This version of Link is clearly the one that has aged the best, and the most lively as well. Also teaching us that Zelda doesn’t have to be realistic to be mature and engaging.
This might be the most simplistic Link has ever looked in 3D, but that’s far from a negative. A perfect case of not judging a book by its cover despite fan’s initial misgivings, this might look like an interactive Saturday morning cartoon, but one that has the unique feature of a vast open world to explore that you’ll want to discover ever secret of.
A personal favorite, this Link is so distinct, he even has separate merchandise and marketing under the name “Toon Link”, and he has appeared in several Super Smash Bros games alongside regular Link. And he got even better when remastered on the Wii U, looking more colorful and sharp than ever, sailing ever faster than before, and having to put up with a lot less tedium in that final Triforce quest.
