LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 10 Early Reactions To Our Hands On Time

7. The Interactions Are Smoother

Having now made 20 games (including the LEGO Movie tie-in and LEGO Rock Band), TT know where their developments should be focused. They’re polishing something that is already very much beloved, but even now there are great little evolutions in established gameplay that really show.

Like in the sequences that call for you to tap the Action button to advance or turn on a system: instead of now having a gauge that raises, it’s now broken up to tell you exactly how many times you’re pressing. That’s not a massive thing by any means, but it smooths out that interaction and it’s a sign of expert development.

The same goes for everything else: building feels sharper, movement also feels like it’s been worked on and some of the automated decisions (guidance/targeting/assistance) are smarter. It’s very, very smooth in other words.
