The Cowboys had a horror show in 2013. They missed out on the playoffs with an 8-8 record and the third most yards conceded by a defence in NFL history. Following that season, many experts claimed that the 2014 Cowboys defence would top that with the most conceded yards of all time, though they clicked into gear and suddenly became a functioning unit. And of course, Demarco Murray fired into gear, running riot for the offense while Tony Romo and Dez Bryant kicked it up a notch. Everything just came together at the right time for the Cowboys, but could it be...a fluke? For me, the Cowboys need another stellar season to prove their top tier credentials, but without Murray, that could be problematic and if the defence really were just having a one-off good season, they may not be worthy of such an enormous ranking.
