Madden 16 Review: 10 Hands-On First Impressions

9. Modern Music, Modern Menu

So, you've won the Super Bowl. Not a bad start, then you get to the menu. Odell Beckham Jr's standing there in front of you jumping, spinning, flipping, and just generally being Odell Beckham Jr. You click through to find a clean, simple menu. The box style remains, but there are fewer than before. After the seven you see above, there's just one large box for customisations. It's not at all overwhelming and keeps a complex game relatively simple. You'll also notice the lack of intense, booming, orchestral music. That's cool to begin with on other Madden games, but after a while it drills into your skull. Now Madden has seen the return of licensed music and it's a very welcome addition whether you're a fan of the tracks or not, at least they're different.
