Madden 20: 7 Biggest Changes You Need To Know
4. Multiple Players Can Sack
The way Madden used to work on the defensive side of the ball was rather rudimentary, being honest. Up until now, only one player could sprint in for the kill on a sack and directly target the ball carrier. That led to countless others (sometimes accidentally controlled by you, the gamer) flailing around or diving unrealistically onto the grass.
Those days are thankfully over.
Now, multiple players can sack the same attacker, which sounds great. Not only will this look more realistic and help the overall presentation of Madden 20, it also makes total sense. It was hardly sane to watch the NFL's best defensive minds leap in the complete opposite direction just because they weren't closest to the carrier.
Defenders are now grouped into a single animation, causing them to tumble and grab their target more realistically. Think of the flip side: if they all miss or thump into one another, the man with the ball will be free to eat up some yards.
