Madden 20: 7 Biggest Changes You Need To Know
3. Game Speed Options Are Gone
There is a catch on the offensive side of the ball. The ability to choose between different game speeds has been removed in favour of a universal pace, and that could make the amount of time your QB has to pick out a pass or perform that defence-fooling RPO feel even shorter than it did previously.
This will affect the aforementioned pump fakes too. You won't be able to drop the intensity to effectively cheat the rushers and 'slow down' decision making. Max Payne's bullet time this isn't. Madden 20 is set to force players into planning their plays pre-snap rather than for a few seconds afterwards.
Sounds...scary.
Unless, of course, you happened to play at full speed anyway. Then, you'll be fine, but it's those who like a more leisurely pace who will be impacted most. There's either something exciting about this rush or something crappy about EA removing customisation. We can't decide.
