Madden 20 Early Wishlist: 10 Things Fans Demand

8. New Commentary

Madden 19
EA Sports

Brandon Gaudin and Charles Davis do a great job summarising plays in Madden 19. They're a likeable, friendly duo who won't have players reaching for the volume controls or cursing EA's broadcast-heavy presentation after a few games. As good as they are though, they naturally become repetitious over time.

It'd be nice to have an alternative.

If FOX partners Joe Buck and Troy Aikman aren't available, then the tried-and-tested 'friendly gramps' tones of Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth would be suitable for next year's game. Their banter is even more endearing than that of Gaudin and Davis, and there's a richness to their voices that screams class.

As a side note, it'd also be helpful if the commentators didn't talk over penalty flag announcements. Being unable to hear what officials are saying because Davis is still telling viewers he never played in the NFL is annoying and sloppy.
