Madden 23 Wishlist: 10 Things We Want To See
9. Less Locked-In Animations
Everyone knows the drill with this one.
Currently, players who start an animation cycle must finish it. That's...hardly fun, because it limits the craziness that can happen during NFL games. Take the recent Wild-Card clash between the Rams and the Cardinals; QB pressure on Kyler Murray forced him into all sorts of errors.
That game showed what tipped balls can do, but they're almost totally missing from Madden's animation set. Rarely, if ever, do tips lead to interceptions or touchdowns in games, which is actually kinda sad. EA are missing a whole layer of football by sticking to their ancient, rigid animations.
It's the same with tackling too. Everything needs overhauled come Madden 23. This player wants to see whiffed punts, drops, tips, and fumbles every now and then. It's vital that EA start making line-ups feel more like real human beings rather than machines with helmets and cleats.
