Mafia 3: 8 New Gameplay Features You Need To Know About

3. Each Of Lincoln's Lieutenants Bring Special Bonuses

By now you should know that each of Lincoln's allies has a certain field they operate in; Cassandra runs guns and munitions, Burke takes on the role of explosives expert, and Vito brings the muscle.

How you employ them is up to you, but there looks to be a delicate system at play here, in that if you don't appropriately compensate your comrades then they're more than likely to throw a tiff. And by tiff, I mean a homicidal rampage, so it's probably a good idea to keep them all in check as best you can.

But enough of the internal power struggles for now, what's important is how you use your lieutenants in game, because they can really turn the tide of a battle before it even begins.

In order to slow down the speed of reinforcements, Lincoln can order his associates to cut phone lines. If he finds himself in a pickle he can't quite get out of, then a personal hit squad is never far away. Basically, you really need these guys in order to succeed, as in Mafia III, it's just not a good idea to go it alone.
