Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: 14 Things You Didn't Know You Could Do
7. Experience HD Rumble
Did you turn off tilt controls? Well, turn them back on, because Mario Kart 8 is the first game since 1-2-Switch to factor in HD Rumble.
Supposedly intended to let Nintendo's family audience feel the benefit of upgrading from Mario Kart Wii, holding the Joy-Cons in each hand or sideways i.e. not locked into the Joy-Con grip, will give you a variety of specific sensations in-line with how your kart is performing.
This applies to the Pro Controller, too, which also comes with HD Rumble, and providing you haven't turned these features off, acts as a neat way to experience controlling the game.
