8. Rule and Gameplay Customisation
This could be a huge game changer, but it would also be the simplest to fix.
Have you ever wanted a battle or a race with only green shells? How about a game with no blue shells? A race where you just keep breaking the sound barrier with incessant "Wahooooos" by abusing Golden Mushrooms?
Maybe you like the way the weapons are balanced and just want a race that lasts for 50 or 100 laps or just want to crank up the max speed of the karts to 300 cc? What if you want to omit certain tracks in a cup and just a want a cup that's full of classic tracks? Then edit them together and now you never have to see a single track you don't like.
Above all else, how about letting players switch off the rubber band AI?!
None of these features or abilities would hurt the game at all, and doubtless some folks will still play the classic way, so how about just opening up our choices?
