Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: 10 Things It Must Include
8. Loads Of Alternate Outfits
Another area where Ultimate Alliance's original sequel failed was in its lack of alternate costumes. Unlike its predecessor (which came equipped with four alternate suits for each hero), the sequel gave but one alternate outfit to each of its characters. Considering some were especially ugly, it's no wonder fans were left unsatisfied by the lack of re-skins available.
Of course, Marvel's denizens have gone through a multitude of wardrobe changes over the years; Daredevil's gone from red to black, Cap's gotten a new shield, and legacy characters have once again become the norm in the mythos. Indeed, the colourful and sometimes zany looks Marvel's heroes have sported are as iconic as they are unequivocally essential.
Want to dress up your X-Men in '70s garbs? You should be able to. Fancy giving Cap a US Agent makeover? Again, players should have the freedom to do just that. I can guarantee that every Marvel fan has their own favourite costume for their preferred character of choice, so limiting the wardrobe on offer would only be a regressive step none too many would find palatable.
