Irrespective of whether or not you enjoyed Ultimate Alliance II, you have to admit that fusions - the ultimate moves where two heroes combined their powers to pull of a devastating finish - were a fantastic concept.

To those uninitiated in the MUA lore, if you can cast your mind back to the first Avengers, there's a moment where Iron Man fires his beams at Cap's mighty shield, creating a ricochet effect that blasts about five Chitauri invaders. It exemplifies the synergy of Marvel's foremost team in but a fraction of the film's screen time, and it's what Ultimate Alliance's sequel pulled off best.

Fusions added a whole other layer of gameplay to what was a fairly simple isometric dungeon-crawler. It would be a mighty shame if they were to be given the boot now.
